Welcome!

Postby capthunter » Tue May 14, 2013 11:37 pm

Welcome to the new Intrepid forum.

Apologies if you were previously a poster here. While we did manage to save the old forum database in the site relocation, it's looking unlikely we'll be able to reinstate it so I'm afraid everyone will have to register again. In addition, we're requiring Admin verification of all accounts to prevent spam registrations (we've already had one in the first 24 hours).

Anyway, we're pretty light on rules here. Play nice and I'm sure we'll all get on splendidly. :)

Hi, I'm Scott and I'm an alcoh-- Oh, wait. Wrong forum!

I was Wolf Braun, and then Malerek, on the old forum (Two names, same character, long story). Besides working construction on a daily basis *sob* I'm developing a couple of film projects of my own. One live-action and one animated. Being a fan of Trek since my grandfather plopped me in front of the television for my first rerun (TOS episode City on the Edge of Forever) and my first visit to a movie theatre (ST:TMP), I was glad when the fan films started rolling in. Eventually stumbling on Intrepid, I was amazed at the depth of the character development Nick imbued in Heavy Lies The Crown, something you generally don't see in 'official' Trek -- Deep Space Nine notwithstanding -- or the other fanfilms.

Too make this brief (Too late!!!): I'm a fan!

I'm a webmaster myself that uses "phpBB" may I suggest using "Akismet" (Anti-Spam ACP) It blocks out all spam posts and filters out the Spam-bots IP, it works pretty well!

Thought it would be a good suggestion to your spam-bot problem.
